SURVEY ON THE EVALUATION OF THE CURRENT STATE OF SYSTEMS FAUNA STRIKE NOTIFICATION IN THE CAR / SAM REGIONS
In support of the activities being developed by the Board of the Regional Committee for the Prevention of Bird / Wildlife Hazard Regions Caribbean and South America (CARSAMPAF) in implementing management and wildlife control at airports in the CAR and SAM , Mr. Melvin Cintron Director of the Regional Office of ICAO North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACC) has referred the NACC61553AGA NOTE states in the region, attaching a survey form on the Assessment of the Current Status Systems Collisions with Wildlife notification in the CAR / SAM prepared by the Committee.
The survey aims to collect data to determine the current status of reporting systems collisions with wildlife in the CAR and SAM regions. The data collected will be for informational purposes only and under no context are part of an audit or evaluation of the systems implemented in the State.
Also, through the survey seeks to gather baseline information for future process improvements in the reporting system, taking into account current industry developments, diversification of aviation, the implementation of safety systems (SMS ) and the development achieved in the management of bird hazard by States and their airports.
The results of data analysis are obtained knowledge of each State through email; Also, the results will be presented at the Fourteenth Conference of the Regional Committee for the Prevention of Bird Strike and Fauna (CARSAMPAF / 14) to be held in October 2016 in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. It urges States to actively participate in filling the survey because the quality of these data will allow feedback information base for continuous improvement of reporting processesand bird hazard management in the region.
